The shutdown, in three facts
Stocky, Shopify's built-in supplier and purchase-order tool, shuts down on August 31, 2026. After that date Shopify's own native purchase-order tools remain as a free-but-limited fallback — they cover basic POs but not supplier records, reorder alerts, or a dead-stock report the way Stocky or the apps below do.
Migrating today? The step-by-step CSV export/import is at stelardigital.com/stocky-migration.

Prices are the Shopify App Store listing's own stated starting price on 17 August 2026 — open each app's listing before you buy, plans and prices change. None of the priced apps above require Shopify POS to install or use; Stocky itself required the POS Pro plan, which is one reason its retirement affects non-POS stores too.
Who each one actually fits
Honest, one line each, only where the listing itself makes the fit clear.
- Assisty — Stores wanting AI demand forecasting plus automated purchase orders and 300+ inventory reports.
- Cogsy — Brands wanting one dashboard for stock levels, restock needs, incoming POs, and marketing-event demand spikes.
- Craftybase — Makers tracking raw materials, bills of materials, and sub-assemblies for products they manufacture themselves.
- EasyScan — Stores doing physical stocktakes and barcode label printing alongside reordering.
- Fabrikator — Sellers who want AI-driven replenishment planning, not just manual reorder points.
- Finale — Multichannel sellers who want a flexible, configurable inventory system and are fine getting a quote from the vendor.
- Forstock — Sellers who want AI demand planning driving the reorder automation, not just fixed reorder points.
- Inventory Planner — Sellers who want forecasting depth specifically and don't mind a Sage-owned, quote-based product.
- Katana — Manufacturers who need production scheduling and live inventory, not just supplier POs — the highest stated starting price here.
- Monocle — Stores specifically migrating from Stocky — the listing names Stocky's export limits directly.
- Prediko — Stores migrating directly from Stocky who want an automated data pull rather than a CSV export/import step.
- Qoblex — Sellers who want real-time inventory sync and order management across sales channels.
- Sensible Forecasting — Forecasting-first sellers on a lower single-tier budget who don't need full PO workflow automation.
- SKUSavvy — Multi-location warehouse operations wanting mobile barcode scanning and pick routing — not a Stocky supplier/PO replacement.
- Starshipit — Shipping label and fulfillment automation — a different job than Stocky's. Included because roundups name it; it does not do purchase orders or supplier management.
- Stockful — Sellers who want every feature on every plan, no feature-gating by price tier, per the listing.
- Stockie — Email or Slack low-stock alerts.
- Stockyard — Stores migrating directly from Stocky's own CSV exports (Suppliers, PO reports, PO items) with no forecasting need.
- Sumtracker — Multi-store and multi-channel sellers — inventory sync across stores is the headline feature.
- Tightly — Named in some Stocky-alternative roundups, but a Shopify App Store search and direct-URL check on 17 August 2026 turned up no live listing under this name. Flagged rather than guessed at.
Migrating from Stocky
If you're moving off Stocky specifically, we wrote a step-by-step guide: export three CSVs from Stocky (Suppliers, Purchases → PO reports, Purchases → PO items reports), drop them into Stockyard's import screen, and it auto-detects and imports each one in the right order — suppliers, then purchase orders, then line items. Full walkthrough, FAQ, and a Stocky-vs-Stockyard feature table at stelardigital.com/stocky-migration. Prediko and Monocle also state Stocky-specific migration paths on their own listings, noted in the table above.
