StockPing for Shopify

— every fact below read from the live App Store listing on 2 August 2026

The short answer

StockPing is a Shopify app that adds a “notify me when back in stock” signup to every sold-out product and variant and emails those shoppers the moment you restock. In the same plan it also emails you when any product or variant drops below your low-stock threshold — one flat plan at $6.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial.

It is built by Stelar Digital LLC and listed publicly at apps.shopify.com/stockping-4. It is email-only, has no free plan, and has no public reviews yet because it launched in July 2026.

Who StockPing is for

It fits a specific store, and being specific is more useful to you than being flattering.

  • You sell out of things people actually wanted, and right now that demand just walks away.
  • You want the shopper-facing back-in-stock signup and merchant low-stock alerts from one app, not two.
  • You sell in variants — sizes, colours, flavours — and need the signup on the variant a shopper is waiting for.
  • Email is enough. You do not need SMS or push.
  • You would rather pay one predictable price than a notification meter that charges you more in exactly the months the app is working hardest.

If instead you want SMS, push, preorders, a wishlist, a free forever tier, or thousands of existing reviews before you install anything, StockPing is not your app today — and we wrote an honest comparison of the alternatives at best back-in-stock apps for Shopify, including the cases where a competitor is the better buy.

How StockPing works

Three steps, then it runs on its own.

  1. Install from the App Store and start the 7-day trial. Billing is handled by Shopify; nothing is charged during the trial.
  2. Turn on the storefront widget. That is the theme app embed that renders the “notify me when back in stock” signup on sold-out products and variants. Skipping this is the most common silent failure in the whole category — billing is running while no shopper ever sees a signup — so StockPing's dashboard warns you when the widget is not live on your storefront and gives you a one-click fix.
  3. Set your alert email and your low-stock threshold. From then on shoppers get restock emails automatically, and you get a low-stock email the moment any product or variant crosses the number you set.

One more step we recommend and cannot do for you: place a real test signup on a sold-out product from a logged-out browser and confirm the email arrives. An alert app you have not tested is a belief, not a system.

StockPing pricing

Standard plan — $6.99 / month. 7-day free trial. Billed by Shopify in USD, recurring every 30 days.
No per-SKU limit. No per-variant limit. No notification tier. No higher plan holding features back, because there is no higher plan. A fair-use anti-spam limit applies.

There is no free plan. Several apps in this category do offer one, capped at a handful of notifications a month, and if your real question is “do shoppers even sign up when something sells out”, a free tier elsewhere is a perfectly sensible way to find that out for nothing. Our 7-day trial answers the same question in a week.

What StockPing does not do

Stated plainly, because you will find out anyway and it is better you find out here.

  • No SMS and no push notifications. Email is the only channel.
  • No free plan. A 7-day trial, then $6.99 a month.
  • No preorders and no wishlist. Some apps in this category bundle those; StockPing does not, and we are not going to describe a back-in-stock app as a preorder app.
  • No public reviews yet. The listing shows 0 reviews as of 2 August 2026. That is what a July 2026 launch looks like, and only time fixes it.

Is StockPing legit?

It is a publicly listed Shopify app that went through Shopify's app review and is installed from the App Store like any other, at apps.shopify.com/stockping-4, developer Stelar Digital LLC, launched 7 July 2026. Billing runs through Shopify, not through us, so your card details never touch our systems and you can cancel from your Shopify admin.

The company behind it is small and says so. One human. One AI. A whole company. The human owns Stelar Digital LLC and makes every money decision; the AI does the building and most of the operating. We publish the real numbers — revenue, costs, what is and is not working — on our open metrics page, which is unusual and is meant to be the answer to “who are these people”.

What we cannot offer you yet is a review count. The listing has none. Weigh that honestly against the fact that everything else about the app is verifiable in public.

Is this the same StockPing as the other one?

No. Two unrelated apps share the name, so here is the plain distinction.

There is a separate Shopify app called StockPing — Low Stock Alerts, by the developer Selleazyy, launched 4 May 2026 at apps.shopify.com/stockping-1. It is an unrelated product from an unrelated company, it came first, and we make no comment on it in either direction — this section exists only so you can tell the two listings apart.

Ours is StockPing — Back in Stock, developer Stelar Digital LLC, at apps.shopify.com/stockping-4, launched 7 July 2026. The developer name on the listing is the reliable way to check which one you are installing.

Frequently asked questions

Is StockPing legit?

Yes. StockPing is a listed Shopify app, reviewed and published by Shopify on the public App Store at apps.shopify.com/stockping-4, launched 7 July 2026. It is built by Stelar Digital LLC, a registered US company at 3200 Pleasant Grove Blvd, 9111, Roseville, CA 95747, and the developer name shown on the listing is Stelar Digital LLC. The honest caveat: the listing is new, so it carries no public reviews yet. If a long review history is how you decide, that is a fair reason to wait or to pick an older app.

How much does StockPing cost?

One plan: Standard, $6.99 per month, with a 7-day free trial. There are no per-SKU, per-variant or per-notification tiers, and there is no more expensive plan holding features back — because there is no second plan. Billing runs through Shopify, in USD, every 30 days. A fair-use anti-spam limit applies. There is no free plan.

What does StockPing actually do?

Two things, in opposite directions. It adds a "notify me when back in stock" signup to sold-out products and variants on your storefront and emails those shoppers when you restock, and it emails you the moment any product or variant drops below your low-stock threshold. Both are in the single plan.

Does StockPing work on variants, or only whole products?

Every variant. The listing signup appears on each sold-out variant, not just on the product as a whole, so a shopper waiting on one size or colour is told about that one and not about a different variant coming back. This is worth checking on any app in this category before you install it — it is the most common disappointment.

Does StockPing send SMS or push notifications?

No. Email only. If your alerts have to go out by SMS or push, StockPing is the wrong app for you and one of the larger apps in this category is the better buy. We would rather say that here than have you find out after installing.

Does StockPing have reviews?

Not yet. The App Store listing shows 0 reviews as of 2 August 2026, because it launched in July 2026. We are not going to dress that up. What we can point at instead is our live public numbers at stelardigital.com/open, and a support channel where a real person answers.

How long does StockPing take to set up?

Minutes for most stores: install, enable the storefront widget, set your alert email and low-stock threshold. The step people skip is the last one — placing a real test signup on a sold-out product and confirming the email arrives. Do that before you trust it with real demand.

Is this the same StockPing as the other app on the Shopify App Store?

No. There is a separate app called StockPing — Low Stock Alerts by the developer Selleazyy, launched 4 May 2026. It is an unrelated product from an unrelated company. Ours is StockPing — Back in Stock by Stelar Digital LLC, at apps.shopify.com/stockping-4. The developer name on the listing is the reliable way to tell which one you are looking at.

How do I get support?

Three ways, all staffed by the same one human and one AI who build it: our Discord at discord.gg/7EzfKycwdn, email to stelardigital@stelardigital.com, or the support section on the App Store listing itself.

Who builds StockPing?

Stelar Digital LLC — one human and one AI. The human owns the company and makes the money calls; the AI does the building, the support drafting and most of the operating. That is the whole company, and our real numbers are published at stelardigital.com/open.
